     According to The Bible Dictionary, the view of Scripture towards women, and mothers in particular, is very clear. In scripture, women are considered on the same plane as men, and due the same respect. The matriarchs have an equal voice in society in scripture. God commands us not only to honor our fathers, but to extend the same level of honor to our mothers. Scripture notes that the greatest duty of sons is to love, honor and obey their mothers. There are many religions around the world that do not have this same regard for women and mothers.      From the beginning, after God created man, He took the man and placed him in the Garden of Eden: "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden  thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in that day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."       Mother's Day has always been a day of miracle conceptions at Everlasting Covenant. That promise dwells within God's Word, as we will read, and is still an active promise today.       Today is Mother's Day. There is a warfare against motherhood. The Devil is a liar who tries to pervert God's will. He is the Father of Lies and has been since the beginning. Margaret Sanger, who founded Planned Parenthood and abortion, as well as those who tell us that motherhood is undesirable and unfulfilling for a woman, are part of this current day warfare against motherhood.
