     This message is given as a challenge to the Body of Christ. The challenge to us comes in the words of Jesus: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do ; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name , that will I do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name , that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name , I will do it." (Jn. 14:12-14). This is a powerful promise from Jesus to those who believe on Him. It is a promise to any and all who believe on Him.      The Book of Acts gives us many examples of those who believed on Jesus being used by the Lord to work miracles in His name . In Acts 3, Peter and John had gone to the temple in Jerusalem at the hour of prayer. There was a man who had been lame from birth seeking alms from those coming to the temple: "And P...

      We need to understand the power and authority we have as believers, paid for with the blood of Jesus. It is not traditions, doctrines or denominations that are the source of this heavenly power and authority that is manifested on earth through the believer in Christ. In fact, scripture tells us that our traditions make void the Word of God. (see Mk. 7:6-7 , 13 ).      In His last words before His ascension into heaven, Jesus commanded His disciples to wait for that power from heaven to come upon them: "But ye shall receive power ( dynamis - strength, power, ability, power for performing miracles, moral power and excellence of soul), after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.' And when he (Jesus) had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight." (Acts 1:8-9).   ...
