Fools and the Heart for God*

As Paul sat imprisoned in Rome awaiting execution for his faith in Jesus Christ, He wrote this to the believers of Rome: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live buy faith." (Rom. 1:16-17). This is also our founding scripture for this ministry, and this is the power of salvation through faith in Christ. Paul also wrote to Titus: "But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine." (Titus 2:1). Speak the saving truth.      Paul continued on to write of those who refuse to see the hand of the Creator God that has been revealed to them: "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by...

Myths, Lies and Grown-Up Fairy Tales*

Do we have any idea how many myths, lies, and fairy tales we have come to accept as truth? We will see that the increase of these things is also a sign of the end times according to scripture. Paul wrote to his protege, Timothy, whom Paul had placed in leadership over the Ephesian church: "...Preach the word; be instant in season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry." (2 Tim. 1-5). Paul was writing about believers turning away from truth and preferring fables instead because the fables please their flesh. "Fables" is the Greek word, mythos , meaning "a story, fable, invention, fiction, ...

Sound Doctrine*

The things coming out of the church world recently have been very concerning. Many comments made on Social Media reflect a lack of knowledge of scripture, and reflect doctrines that are men's doctrines rather than God's. There is a command in scripture to get wisdom and understanding, and to pursue good doctrine : "Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. For I give you good doctrine , forsake you not my law...He (my father) taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live . Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting, get understanding." (Prov. 4:1-7). The doctrines of God come from the Word of God. However, our culture wants to dictate what everyone should believe: in a one-wo...
