Watchmen, Shepherds, Sheep and Doctrine*

In the Body of Christ today, things are being taught and believed that are very concerning, especially because of the lateness of the hour before the return of Christ.       Jesus had healed a man who had been born blind. His disciples had asked Him who had sinned that the man had been born blind. Jesus answered: "Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is yet day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." (Jn. 9:1-5). The night is coming, yet many in the church have been told that miracles are not for today. However, miracles are very much to be part of the lives of the believers in Christ. As Jesus revealed that He was in the Father, and the Father was in Him, and that the works that Jesus did were because of the Father who dwelt within Him, Jesus said to His disciples to...

Who is the Suffering Servant?*

Image
Around 325 A.D., the known Church at that time officially removed the treasured Jewish roots from the Christian faith, creating a divide that still exists today. This division has sometimes taken the form of antisemitism, such as we see in the Christian Nationalism movement, as well as the falsehood of Replacement Theology that states that the Church has replaced Israel. In His Word, the LORD made a covenant with Israel specifically and intends to keep that covenant. We, as Christians, have been grafted into the natural olives tree of the Jewish faith. (Rom. 11:16-18). The early church was made up of Jews first and shortly thereafter Gentiles, with thousands of Jews converting to belief in Jesus as Messiah/Christ, including Jewish priests, after the resurrection of Christ according to the Book of Acts.       The divide between the two faiths of the same olive tree is also reflected in portions of scripture, such as Isaia...

Mother's Day 2025

Mother's Day has always been a day of miracle conceptions at Everlasting Covenant. That promise dwells within God's Word, as we will read, and is still an active promise today. If you have desired a child, this message will be an encouragement for you.       From the beginning of God's Word, the LORD made the character and purpose that He created in a woman. After creating man, Adam, the LORD said: "And the LORD God said, It is not good that a man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him." (Gen. 2:18). In Hebrew, the term "help meet" is ezer/azar , meaning "help, aid, succor/support, to surround, defending, protect, to conquer." The LORD took an *aleph-tav/Alpha and Omega rib from the man in order to create the woman. When the LORD brought her to Adam, who had the authority to name every living creature, Adam said: "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out ...

Two Coming Appointments*

A popular song from the 1960's was written by Pete Seeger and recorded by the Byrds. It is titled "Turn, Turn, Turn", and the words of the song were taken from Ecclesiastes 3. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 states: "To every thing there is a season ( zeman/zaman - a set time, appointed time, a stated time/to fix a time, times appointed), and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted."        Heaven is eternal, but all things under heaven become appointed in time. We don't like to think about death, but we will read that death comes to everyone: "And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation ( yeshua in Hebrew, meaning "God is our salvation", also being Jesus' name in Hebrew)....
