The Importance of the Word*

This message might be a challenge to some, but it is vital, especially considering the lateness of the hour and the prophecies about to come to pass regarding the end times.      I have memorized verses in the Bible since the time that I became saved. I have noticed that as I look up those memory verses in my Bible, the words have been changed, even in a King James Bible that was given to me by my wife when I got saved many years ago. One of the verses that I had memorized years ago was from Proverbs 26:13 and 15, for example. The wording of these verses that I memorized included the use of the word "sluggard".  Now, however, the wording has changed to "The slothful man...". There are also additional changes within these verses that have occurred in my old Bible. While these changes did occur, the original Hebrew and Greek meanings of the words in the verses do include the newly appearing words in their meanings. However, how did these changes occ...

Knowing the Gift of God*

Image
On this Christmas and Hanukkah, which occur at the same time this year, there will be an exchange of many gifts. However, understanding the gift of God is priceless.      Jesus encountered a Samaritan woman at a well and had a conversation with her in which He identified Himself as the Messiah/Christ. He told her: "If thou knewest ( eido - to see, perceive, discern, experience, understand, get knowledge of, cherish ) the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water." (Jn. 4:10). We lose sight of celebrating the gift of God, which is His Son given for our sins.      John described this sacrifice as a gift: "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,...

Run Into and Hold Fast to HIS NAME*

If we are going to remove the veil, and know who Yeshua (Jesus) is, we need to know His name and what it means. Isaiah 12:1-6 says: "And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. Behold, God is my salvation (the Hebrew word Yeshua ; see also Ps. 62:7 and Jer. 3:23 ); I will trust and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength, and my song; he also is become my salvation." He becomes our salvation when we believe in Him: If we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus is the Messiah/Christ, who died on that cross, and whom the Father raised from the dead, then we will be saved.      Isaiah continued: "Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation . And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name , declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted . Sing unto the L...

Time to Remove the Veil*

The Jewish people do not include Isaiah 53 in their scripture studies, calling it "the forbidden chapter". There is a denial that this chapter of Isaiah has anything to do with a prophetic portrait of the sacrifice of the Messiah/Christ for the sins of others. Why is there this continued rejection of Jesus as the Messiah?       The apostle Paul, who was a Jew and a Pharisee trained under the respected and renown rabbi, Gamaliel, wrote about the mystery at work here regarding Israel, but now revealed: "...Hath God cast away his people?...God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew...Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace...What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded , (according as it is written, God hath give...
