      When Bill Clinton became president, I sent him a letter, and I have continued to send letters to all of the presidents after him. The Clinton letter was based on a message that I gave titled "America's Last Hurrah." That message would turn into a series of messages, and then finally assembled into a book that has yet to be published. The title of the Book of messages is called "The Late Great United States?" Hal Lindsay had written an earlier book titled "The Late Great Planet Earth", which inspired my book's title.       The future of this nation is very much on my heart, and has been for many years, based upon what I see happening here. What should we be doing as we see our nation rushing towards catastrophe?      In 1Corinthians 11, the apostle Paul warned believers to discern the Body of Christ. This is especially important in these last days.           David wrote in Psalm 120, a Song of degrees (ascent, steps, going up, thoughts) about the conditions he was facing then that are still prevalent today: " In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me. Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from deceitful tongue. My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace. I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war."      Is the Body of Christ truly crying out to the LORD in these times of distress, when lies run rampant and war and violence prevail? Satan is the father of lies, whose first lie was, "Hath God said...?" Who are we listening to, and are we able to discern the truth from a lie? There are those who hate peace, not as man thinks of peace, but the peace of the LORD, which is a lasting peace.     ...

           During the recent Feast of Trumpets in Jerusalem, shofars were sounded on the Temple Mount, although there was strong opposition from those who claim the right to occupy the Mount. Before this event, six red heifers were sent from Texas to Israel in fulfillment of prophecy ( Isa. 18:7 ). The purpose of the pure red heifer is to provide the ashes needed for Temple worship. Although there is not presently a temple on the Mount, Scripture prophesies a third temple must be built, and these recent indications and others mean that the Israelites are preparing for the building of that third temple. Are we paying attention to these events and their connection to the end times before the return of Jesus?      Jesus told a parable of the Sower and the Seed. Depending upon the condition of the soil, the seeds sown would either perish or thrive. His disciples asked why Jesus spoke in parables to the people. Jesus answered: "Because it is given...

     The first mention of "faith" in scripture is found in Deuteronomy 32:16-20 in the Song of Moses. Moses told of how God's people provoked God to jealousy because they worshipped strange gods with abominations: "They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not...and hast forgotten God that formed thee. And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them...And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith."
